Yabergsjön is a lake with an area of 255 hectares, located between Hyltebruk and Unnaryd. The lake has two islands, Storön and Lillön, which contribute to a varied environment. Its deepest point is 13 meters, and the lake has an average depth of about 4 meters. Yabergsjön receives its water from Fjällen in the north and is drained via the Yabergsån river, which flows into Mellan Färgen. Yabergsjön is particularly known for its fine pike and perch, with specimens of around a kilogram not being uncommon for perch.

  • Summer (June-August): Good perch fishing, especially during early mornings and late evenings. Pike are also active.

  • Autumn (September-October): Pike fishing is often at its best, and perch can be very large and active.

  • Winter (ice fishing): Popular for perch and pike when ice conditions permit.
