Fishing rules

The area’s largest lake with abundant stocks of pike, perch, and zander. Perfect for sport fishing.

Fishing is a wonderful nature experience, and for all of us to continue enjoying our lakes and rich fish life, it’s important that we follow a few simple rules. Our regulations are created to protect fish stocks and ensure everyone has a pleasant time by the water. Remember that these rules are for your benefit and to ensure we have sustainable fishing now and in the future!

Simple Rules for Sustainable Fishing

To make fishing both enjoyable and sustainable, we have set up some simple guidelines. Please read them carefully before casting your line!

Fishing Permit – Your Key to the Lake

Everyone who wants to fish in our lakes must have a valid fishing permit. It’s your proof that you contribute to the management of the waters and fish stocks. Remember to always carry your fishing permit when fishing, as checks occur. If you are asked to show it and cannot, unfortunately, it may mean you have to stop fishing.

Free Fishing for Our Youngest Anglers

We want to encourage the next generation of anglers! Therefore, fishing is free for children and youths up to and including 14 years of age. They don’t need their own fishing permit to try their luck. Make sure they have a fun and educational experience by the water!

Catch Regulations for Zander and Pike – Fish with Care

To protect our popular species and ensure good reproduction, we have introduced specific size limits:

  • Zander: The maximum size limit for zander is 65 cm. All zander longer than 65 cm must be carefully released back into the lake.
  • Pike: The minimum size limit for pike is 50 cm. Pike shorter than 50 cm must also be gently released back.

This means: Zander larger than 65 cm and Pike smaller than 50 cm must always be released back into the lake. The goal is for the larger zander to be able to reproduce and for the smaller pike to grow.

Fixed Gear – Only for Fishing Right Holders

Please note that all fishing with fixed gear (such as nets and similar) is only permitted for fishing right holders. This is to regulate fishing pressure and protect fish stocks.
